Current British Aphid Checklist

Baker, E., Dransfield, R.D. & Brightwell, R.

Original draft May 2015; Updated July 2020

To date roughly 670 species and subspecies of aphids (including adelgids) have been recorded in Britain - including non-native species, some whose status is uncertain, and a few which evidently do not breed in Britain or are anholocyclic there.

This list is updated as new infomation becomes available. If you find any omissions or mistakes in this list, please email info@influentialpoints.com

Some entries are highlighted as follows:

Turquoise   Not indigenous. Yellow   Status uncertain. Red   Recorded erroneously in some lists. Underlined species   Link to their InfluentialPoints Gallery page

This list was originally produced to inform the development of a UK Hemiptera checklist following a request for assistance from Sharon Reid at FERA who had been asked to contribute to a revised UK Hemiptera list.
