Notice that, for these graphs, because many of the values are identical (tied) you have to calculate the rank of each value sequentially - rather than using the mean rank of each

value.
On the first graph we have added a yellow line plot, interpolating between the mean rank of each value. Where results are heavily tied, as they are here, the mean rank provides a very different view of their distribution.

The following code produces much the same sort of result using R.
