Here the intercept (a) = 3 (the value of Y when x=0) The slope (b) = 1.5 (the value of Y increases by 15 units for every 10 units of X) Using this equation you can estimate the value of Y for any value of X within the range of observations. For example, if X is 8, Y = {3 + (1.5 × 8)} = 15
