Just a note

A thermohygrograph can be upset by remarkably little careless handling, dust, vibration, movement, or changing the charts, and (within hours) by mud-wasps' nests. Their pens are readily bent, stop writing, or bleed ink. Their clocks stop, spontaneously re-start, run slow, and their securing bars damage the pen tips. Their charts are easily mis-aligned, commonly mis-labelled, and can absorb water like blotting paper.
