Just a note

For example, you may miss papers that do not appear in the main abstract lists, or were published in a foreign language, or because they are unavailable on the internet, or are too old, or are not in mainstream journals.

There are also of course all the papers that were not published. These include those of poor quality which it is reasonable to exclude. But they also include those that were not published simply because they came out 'non-significant', and those that did not fit the reviewer's preconceptions. Lastly there are all those 'internal' reports, and dusty manuscripts, that the authors just gave up any hope of publishing...
