Notice that Y₁ is a subset of Y₀ whereas in (nonparametric) bootstrap samples Y₂ is NOT a subset of Y₁ - because the same values can be selected MORE THAN ONCE.

The reason for this is that in order to mimic the results of sampling a very large Y₀ bootstrapping resamples Y₁ WITH replacement.
