  • Qb(m,df) is the value of the studentized range statistic for the number of means spanned in the particular comparison (m) at the adjusted α level (b). b is equal to 1 - (1-α)m/k. df are the same as for MSerror,
  • MSerror is the mean square error from the ANOVA table. For one-way ANOVA df = k(N-1), where k is the number of treatments, and N is the total number of observations,
  • n is the sample size.
